After breakfast, drive to Kargil (approx. 8–9 hours) via:

·       Sonamarg, a lush alpine meadow known for its rivers and snow-capped peaks

·       Zoji La Pass, a high mountain pass offering breathtaking vistas

On arrival in Kargil, visit:

·       Kargil War Memorial – A poignant tribute to the heroes of the 1999 conflict, set against the dramatic Drass Valley.

After breakfast, continue the journey to Padum (approx. 8–9 hours), the heart of Zanskar Valley, through scenic high-altitude landscapes, rugged mountains, and the Indus and Zanskar rivers.

Explore Padum and nearby monasteries:

·       Karsha Monastery – Largest monastery in Zanskar, perched on a hill with panoramic views, housing ancient statues, thangkas, and a large prayer hall.

·       Stongdey Monastery – Set in a serene valley, known for its ancient murals and peaceful meditation spaces, reflecting Zanskar’s spiritual heritage.

·       Padum Village Walk – Explore local bazaars, interact with residents, and witness traditional Zanskari lifestyle and architecture.

Spend the day discovering the hidden valleys and monasteries of Zanskar:

After breakfast, drive to Leh via scenic sites:

·       Alchi Monastery – 11th-century murals, intricate wood carvings, and ground-level temples blending Kashmiri and Buddhist art

·       Likir Monastery – Famous for its giant gold-plated Maitreya Buddha and serene hilltop setting

·       Basgo Palace Ruins – Mud-brick fort and temple complex overlooking the Indus River, reflecting Ladakh’s royal history

·       Sangam Viewpoint – Confluence of green Indus and muddy Zanskar rivers, a striking natural landmark near Nimmu

Full-day excursion to Turtuk, a remote Balti village near the Indo-Pak border:

Return to Nubra by evening. Dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to Pangong Tso via Shyok / Agham route (subject to road conditions).

·       Pangong Tso – Spectacular high-altitude lake with ever-changing shades of blue, serene waters, and a backdrop of stark mountains, ideal for photography and lakeside walks

Check in at lakeside camp/hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Chang La Pass, traversing high-altitude plains and scenic mountain roads.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Leh Airport for onward flight.
