DAY 1
Arrival Kullu–Bhuntar Airport – Drive to Kullu

Upon arrival at Kullu–Bhuntar Airport, meet and assist for the short drive to Kullu town (approx. 10 km / 30 minutes).

After check-in at your hotel, spend the rest of the day at leisure to acclimatize and explore the surroundings. Take a gentle walk along the Beas River, or visit the local markets to observe early festival preparations.

DAY 2
Kullu – Dussehra Festival Celebrations

After breakfast, proceed to Dhalpur Maidan, the epicenter of the Kullu Dussehra celebrations.

Witness the spectacular gathering of beautifully decorated palankins (rath) carrying village deities from across the Kullu Valley. Observe traditional rituals, including offerings and prayers, accompanied by the rhythmic sounds of drums, trumpets, and conch shells.

Throughout the day, enjoy folk performances, cultural displays, and interactions with locals, gaining insight into the spiritual significance of the festival.

Return to the hotel in the evening. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 3
Kullu – Festival Rituals & Valley Exploration

After breakfast, continue experiencing the festival’s rituals and cultural programs at Dhalpur Maidan.

Later, enjoy a short excursion within the Kullu Valley—options include visiting a nearby village temple, enjoying riverside views, or exploring local handicraft markets known for shawls, woollens, and traditional artefacts.

The evening offers another opportunity to witness cultural performances and evening rituals, as the festival atmosphere becomes even more vibrant after sunset.

Kullu – Departure

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Kullu–Bhuntar Airport for your onward flight, concluding a memorable cultural journey centered around one of the Himalayas’ most distinctive festivals.
